European-Inspired Garden Greenhouse in North San Diego California
European Garden House is a thoughtfully designed greenhouse and garden venue created for photoshoots, intimate gatherings, garden-to-table experiences, workshops and content creation.
With an ever-growing garden and a space that feels both refined and deeply lived in, it invites you to step into something slower, more meaningful, and beautifully your own.
About
European Garden House
Where friends and family gather around the table, fresh-baked sourdough bread is shared, nourishing food is passed, and kids run freely through the garden. In a world that often feels rushed and divided, we longed for something different. A place with fewer screens and more presence. More nature, more conversation, more moments that matter.
Every detail has been designed with intention, blending old with new, refinement with warmth, and beauty with a life that is fully lived. We hope you feel it the moment you arrive. And that, even for a little while, our home feels like your home.
Our Offerings
Photoshoots
There are spaces you photograph, and then there are spaces you feel. At European Garden House, every corner was created with intention. Soft light moving through the greenhouse, brick pathways lined with French lavender, textured walls, natural materials, and quiet, layered details that give depth to every frame.
You won’t find just one backdrop here. You’ll find a rhythm to the space: place where you can move naturally with your client, where each turn offers something new, but still feels cohesive, and where nothing feels forced, and everything feels lived in.
This is where your work becomes more than just beautiful, it becomes felt, seen. Where your clients relax, open up, and become themselves. Where your images carry warmth, movement, and meaning. Where you capture your client’s story and season. And in a time where content is everywhere, this is the kind of space that helps yours stand apart. Not louder, just deeper.
Available to photographers and creatives by the hour, for sessions that are meant to be both effortless and unforgettable.
Intimate Gatherings
Not every celebration needs to be large to be unforgettable.
At European Garden House, we host intimate gatherings designed for connection. Where your nearest and dearest are not scattered across a room, but gathered close, connected, fully present.
A long tablescape set with intention. Candles and florals that create a feeling. Seasonal, garden-to-table food shared slowly. Conversations that linger well into the evening. A night you remember so deeply that a song or flavor will immediately take you back.
This is not a place for rushed timelines or overfilled schedules.
It’s a place where dinner stretches a little longer. Where laughter comes easily. Where every guest feels part of something meaningful.
Surrounded by the garden, under soft light, with thoughtful details woven throughout, your gathering becomes more than an event. It becomes a moment people carry with them long after they leave.
We host a very limited amount of gatherings each year.
Editorial Experiences
There are shoots you attend, and then there are the ones that change your work and your business.
At European Garden House, our editorial experiences are designed to feel like you’ve stepped into a wedding somewhere in the European countryside. Rich in design, unrushed, layered, and deeply intentional. Real couples. Tables set as if guests are about to arrive. Florals in full, abundant bloom. Spaces that feel lived in, not staged.
You won’t be photographing a set-up, you’ll be capturing a story already unfolding.
From lush garden ceremonies to candlelit tablescapes, each design moment is created with depth and movement, giving you a collection of images that feel cohesive, elevated, and editorial in every sense.
This is where your portfolio shifts. Where your work begins to reflect not just what you can capture, but what you can create.
In a world of fast content and repeated backdrops, this is something different. Slower. More considered. And undeniably high-end.
Hosted seasonally, with limited availability, each experience is intentionally kept small, allowing space to create, move freely, and capture each moment without pressure.
About the Founder, Leela Rea
Leela Rea is no stranger to building something beautiful. Before European Garden House, Leela built and sold a wedding venue with a seven-figure exit, proving that she not only understands beautiful design and business, but that people see, feel, and deeply appreciate her vision.
But if you ask Leela, the most beautiful and meaningful part of her life is being a mother of four and living out the values this place represents: living slow on purpose, designing with intention, and believing that the people in your life matter most above all else.
Originally from Eastern Europe, Leela immigrated to the United States as a toddler, carrying with her a deep-rooted appreciation for home, food, and gathering. Her upbringing continues to shape the way she lives and creates. Where garden-to-table meals, long conversations, and a slower pace of life are not trends, but a way of being.
Every detail you see once you enter the front gates has been touched by Leela and her design. But when you walk away, it won’t just be the things you saw that stay with you, it will be the way you felt.
Like you’ve been a part of her family your entire life.
